Sophia Amoruso CEO, Founder, and Creative Director of $100 million online clothing site Nasty Gal recently wrote the book #GIRLBOSS now a New York Times Bestseller, the book has tips on breaking into fashion, how she climb her way up to fame, and how to be a girl boss everyday.
By twenty-two, she had resigned herself to employment, but was still broke, directionless, and working a mediocre day job she’d taken for the health insurance. Then she started to sell vintage clothing on ebay and 8 years later she has Nasty Gal a worldwide site and now recently opened a store in Melrose, LA that sells other brands like For Love and Lemons and Jeffery Campbell, Nasty Gal offical clothing, and vintage pieces still to this day. One thing I love about this book is that she doesnt take herself that seriously and still works hard to this day. Sophia writes, “I have three pieces of advice I want you to remember: Don’t ever grow up. Don’t become a bore. Don’t let The Man get to you. OK? Cool. Then let’s do this.”
Take a look at the finish look of the first Nasty Gal store in Melrose
